Ticket holders have been finalized in the American Teen Sneak Preview giveaway. We'll be screening the acclaimed documentary American Teen with the entire cast in attendance for a Q&A following the film.

The screening is at 7:00 PM at the Alamo Drafthouse South Lamar on Thursday, July 10.

The real fun, however, comes the following morning. A select group of attendees will be invited to the AMERICAN TEEN VIP brunch. We'll meet at the Alamo Drafthouse South Lamar at 10:00 AM and board a school bus along with the 5 cast members and head over to an Austin high school to enjoy a "nouveau school cafeteria" brunch prepared by Alamo executive chef John Bullington.

We still have 5 spots available for this very special VIP experience. To get a seat on the bus, email us one of your favorite stories (Trauma, heartbreak or exhilaration, etc.) from your own "American Teen" years. A panel of judges from the Alamo and AICN will choose their favorites and those folks will get tickets to a VIP "nouveau cafeteria" brunch reception with the cast. Email us your story to americanteen@originalalamo.com. We will be announcing these winners on Tuesday evening.

We will likely also have a few standby seats available for this event. If you are not on the list above, please come to the Alamo South Lamar by 6:30 and we will try to fit you in.

BPM: DFEST Edition starts this weekend!

We're gearing up for the massive UNNECESSARY
SEQUELS 2008 competition that will start up on July 17, but *before* that
we've got our next 48 hour music video making contest - BPM,
and it's shooting weekend starts *this* Friday, July 11!

That means that
if you haven't signed up your team to compete yet, now is the time. Red Bull is
sponsoring this contest, which is running as part of DFEST, a sort of ACL for Tulsa, Oklahoma, and
the size of the event means that the prizing is AWESOME.

Second and
third place teams will each get $500 to host a viewing party in
their hometown, and the winning team will get a flight and hotel covered for
them at the Red Bull Soap Box Derby in Denver. But it won't
just be a free vacation to an awesome event, because the winning team from
BPM:
DFest edition will also be granted full media rights and will have complete
access to cover the entire event.

But even before that, the winning video
will also get premiered on the mainstage during DFEST weekend. That's some serious exposure in
front of a crowd of thousands.

So whatever you thought you were doing
this weekend, it's time to make a change of plans. Register

If your name is on the standby list, please get to the theater by 6:30 PM (you don't have to stand in line all day for standby). The 8 people on this list are first choice standby. We hold a number of seats for the studio and there is almost always room in this section. We will let in whatever standby we can accommodate (by lottery, again, there is no need to come early if you are on this list). Other folks are welcome to wait in an additional standby line but there is no guarantee that we will be able to seat additional standby folks.

FRENCHMAN takes Air Sex July Top Honors

Walk-on competitor THE FRENCHMAN stuns the audience by stealing the popular vote away from F*CKTASTIC with an innovative hacky-sack inspired techno routine. Contestant HANK used actual Crisco to lubricate his performance, while SUNBEAM performed a conceptual necrophiliac routine. Rounding out the top five was CROW who gave the audience a sneak peak at the undercarriage in the final round. No one could top, however, the raw charm and talent of THE FRENCHMAN. F*CKTASTIC vowed to be back with his A-Game come September 18 for the World Finals. All five of our July finalists are invited back on this date for the deciding round that will crown the Air Sex World Champion.

HULK SMASH!!!!!!!

The Alamo Drafthouse/Ain't It Cool News advance screening of THE INCREDIBLE HULK was a tendon-busting success, and we have the photos to prove it courtesy of the great Mary Sledd, master Austin photographer!

Alamo-goers were invited to bounce in our parking lot, eat radiation-colored snacks, don giant green fists and box a lifesize Hulk in our lobby and more! The screening was presented by director Louis Leterrier, producer Gale Anne Hurd and co-star Tim Roth, who also sat in for a Q&A after the screening. It was an unstoppable behemoth of comic book-fueled cinematic emerald-colored intensity!

Return from NILBOG INVASION !!

The Rolling Roadshow that could never happen in a million years...has happened: NILBOG INVASION 2008!!

Yep, the Alamo's mobile Rolling Roadshow unit took off from Austin early in the morn on Tuesday, July 24 and ripped across the southwest to Morgan, UT to celebrate the worst movie ever made: TROLL 2. And what a celebration we'd prepared...35mm outdoor film screenings, a full-scale cast reunion, the writer and director flying in from Italy, a multiple-course Nilbog feast, contests, dancing, etc. Utah was in for a treat.

When we arrived, there was little evidence that the town of Morgan was aware of the impending partystorm. Tim and I met with the mayor and sheriff, who both gave a very tenuous green light to the proceedings, as if they feared we were a pack of bloodthirsty satanists coming to drink the blood of their grandchildren. After paying the bill at Pete's Spring Chicken Inn, we combed the streets looking for evidence of sweaty TROLL 2 anticipation, but found nothing...UNTIL we passed the local butcher shop:

Things were looking up.

Our confidence renewed, we set out to the field to begin preparations. Daniel, Josh and Justin began tackling our enormous screen and the Tims and I got things together for the opening night Dance and Eat party, which was to be held at the Morgan Academy of Dance and Tumbling just down the street from the screenings.

We decked the place out in Nilbog green in no time, just as folks started to pull into town:

The fans we met were unbelievable, and came from everywhere from Chicago to Los Angeles to New York to North Dakota and even Austria! They were all almost as spazzed out to be there as we were, and some were already in costume from the get-go. The locals seemed to keep a wary distance but we partied in spite. Darren "Arnold" Ewing's blues band Skinny Bob & the Blues Dawgs performed and two rowdy goblins danced along without breaking a sweat. As the twilight hour approached, we settled in for the first couple screenings: TROLL and the other Morgan-shot Italian/American horror film CRAWLERS a.k.a. TROLL 3. The crowd consisted mainly of diehards and TROLL maniacs but all had a great time and went back to their hotels and hovels happy.

Saturday was The Big Day, where the film's entire cast was going to meet up with screenwriter Rosella Drudi and infamous director Claudio Fragasso, and the mighty TROLL 2 itself was set to screen. From the morning, we knew the excitement had spread, as Utah residents arrived in homemade TROLL 2 t-shirts and even little old ladies walked their dogs over to the site to see what we were up to. The sun was high, the heat was on, and TROLL 2 fans from every nook and cranny of the earth made themselves visible.

First up for Saturday was a special surprise...even for us! Though Morgan's mayor had been reticent to appear at our event, Michael Stephenson had managed to get semi-local alternate mayor Dan Snarr to come out and award a foam Key to the City to Fragasso! He seemed a little confused by the entire ordeal, but was very happy to additionally be presented with a grant if he ever chooses to return to Utah to shoot TROLL II PART 2! Mayor Dan Snarr was a very nice guy and has a heartwarming mustache. Here he is with some goofball from AMERICAN IDOL.

Then we enjoyed THE CAST PANEL, where 22 members of the TROLL 2 on-screen family gathered to discuss their memories of the masterpiece's production. It was breathtaking and bizarre to see all of them together in one place. The audience asked many questions of the cast, half of which were answered by director Claudio Fragasso, who wasn't even on the panel but managed to get more than a word in regardless. He even got up in front of the room to try and remind Connie how to do her Holly dance again!

We then entered the POPCORN EATING COMPETITION, guest-hosted by that popcorn-devouring witch, Deborah "Creedence" Reed, who watched as several audience volunteers downed unhealthy amounts of buttery popped goodness.

Next up was the mighty JAVELIN TOSS, hosted by Darren Ewing who played Arnold in TROLL 2. Though his character finds himself on the wrong end of a spear in the movie, Darren seemed to love hosting the event and cheered the crowd on as they hurled wood into the ether at a vaguely Darren-esque target. Then we moved back inside for the FILMMAKERS' PANEL, where Fragasso and co-writer Rosella Drudi were joined by actors Michael Stephenson and George Hardy to reveal the long story of TROLL 2's production. Despite an unsteady mastery of our language, the Italian duo gave us many amazing tales of TROLL 2's genesis. Fragasso is a fascinating man and I wouldn't buy a used car from him.

As a special completist's event, we held a GUITAR HERO 2 SHREDDING WAR! The video game actually takes place at "Nilbog High School" and we weren't gonna let that go unrepresented at this most TROLL 2-iest of events! So digi-jammers from all sides competed for glory, including Mickie Pace, who played Betty the Goblin in the film. She was on fiyahhhhhh!!!!

We brought in Alamo chefs John Bullington and Trish Eichelberger specifically to create a very special NILBOG FEAST for the cast and Ultimate Pass holders. Though the chefs had to prepare much of the food outdoors on a grill in the alley, all agreed it was a five-star meal and even the sophisticated palates of the Italians were dazzled by the skills of our Alamo culinary wizards.

As the sunset began, folks gathered in the field to prepare for the main event. We played some shorts, including the Filmmaking Frenzy Troll 2 Fan Film winner OGRE by Chris Dasinger, who we brought out to the event as his prize. He also brought along two actresses from the film as well as the titular monster, who vomited in a bucket LIVE before the crowd. They were totally starstruck by him, and even moreso when the cast and filmmakers united again in front of the crowd to introduce their film.

Finally, it was the moment of truth. The projectors flickered to life and the first frame of TROLL 2 hit the screen. The crowd was enraptured, enlivened and filled with joy. It was a very moving experience to see the cast seated among the folks of Morgan and TROLL 2 fans from all corners of the Earth. Truly, a night of majesty.

Sunday featured more fun events, including the panel on Michael Stephenson's TROLL 2 documentary BEST WORST MOVIE, a baloney-eating competition (which Tim "The Glory Chomper" League totally dominated) and an extremely irresponsible display of explosive firepower to cap the weekend off. But everyone's hearts and memories were still radiating from the previous night's screening, which was a most unlikely bit of magic that will never take place again on this planet or any other:

America! Fuck yeah! Caroling is usually reserved for Christmas time, but we think the whole world should sing about how fucking awesome America is, too. That's why we're ending both of our TEAM AMERICA Sing-Alongs with a trip out to Sixth Street where we'll all light fireworks and sing an acapella version of "America, Fuck Yeah" to all the revelers. We've got all sorts of props and games for during the show, too, so if you aren't a commie or a terrorist, I'll see you there.

For two weeks only, we'll be skewering the IT'S A MAD MAD MAD MAD WORLD of sci-fi disaster flicks, helmed by Roland Emmerich (THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW), a director who's never met a Statue-of-Liberty-in-peril scene he didn't like.

If you've been to any of the Air Guitar shows, you know a little bit about what to expect, except that competitors in this show won't pretend to play an instrument that isn't there; they'll be pretending to make love with a partner that isn't there. When it's summertime and we're dog tired and hot, few things sound better to us than rounding up a few friends and heading over to the Ritz to drink a few beers, eat a burger and watch the Governor of California kill a bunch of unlucky people, in pursuit of Sarah Connor. A lot of people are down on Schwarzenegger's acting but seriously, this is how an invincible killing machine should roll.

With the upcoming release of MAMMA MIA! as a feature film, we realized it was high time we brought back our ABBA Sing-Along for a reprise show or two. Built around the idea of interviewing people like the reporter does in ABBA: THE MOVIE, this show features filmed interviews with Austinites about their favorite ABBA moments as well as every single ABBA song you could ever hope for, with footage culled from movies, concerts and music videos to bring you into a state of orgiastic ecstasy at these two married couples who wrote a lot of million dollar pop songs about breaking up, then decided to get divorces.

- OKIE NOODLING 2 & SUMMER CAMP w/ Director Bradley Beesley live! -

OKIE NOODLING 2 is Beesley's new installment in an oddly charming series about real-life fishermen who practice the marginalized (and dangerous) method of bare-handed fishing. Beesley has been quoted as saying 'eventually I'd like to make a movie that evokes as much emotion as Terry Zwigoff's CRUMB...but my immediate goal is to catch a 40-pound catfish with my bare hands."

SUMMERCAMP! follows the ebb and flow of a group of young Wisconsin Summercampers and their counselors. As many of you are already aware, the most awesomest thing that ever was, is or will be is happening next week in Austin. Director Guillermo del Toro is personally bringing his film HELLBOY II: THE GOLDEN ARMY to the Alamo Drafthouse South Lamar next Tuesday, July 8, for a free advance screening and Q&A after the film!

Our theater has already been inundated with calls and emails frantically requesting seats and information. Not that we didn't expect this madness when we booked the event, but it must be properly set up here at the onset that seating is unfortunately limited and not everyone will get in. Due to the incredibly high demand for these tickets, the only people who are even eligible to get in are the Fantastic Fest Badge Holders.

If you have not purchased a Fantastic Fest badge, please check out our website for more information about the event. Badges start at $40 for the 2008 Fest and I dare say, it's the most fun week of the entire year at the Alamo. Fantastic Fest features screenings of over 65 of the best new action, horror, science fiction and fantasy films of the year and is the largest event of its kind in the United States. HANCOCK Advance Screening tonight at South Lamar

It was UNBELIEVABLE how many people threw their hat in for this screening. Now, I have to ask... is it because it's a free movie? or is it because you know HANCOCK is going to kick major ass? Little from column A, little from column B? Well, the answer should be the major ass kicking, because HANCOCK IS GOING TO KICK MAJOR ASS. Much thanks to Harry Knowles and the AICN crew for making this screening possible.

Below is a list of the folks who are on the list for tonight's show, but these folks MUST claim their ticket by no later than 11:30PM tonight! So, if you are one of the people who just barely missed the HANCOCK train, come on down to South Lamar for what could be a very pleasant surprise. Because once 11:30PM rolls around, all unclaimed tickets will go to the most patientiest, most hard-core HANCOCK and/or Will Smith and/or Jason Bateman fan in the lobby. That's right. We have tickets on sale for the Thursday July 17 Midnight and opening weekend shows of THE DARK KNIGHT on sale at the Ritz, Village and South Lamar theaters.

Hollywood made one of its best decisions ever when it gave Christopher Nolan the keys to the Batmobile in 2005. Welsh-American-Psycho Christian Bale is just the ticket as the Dark Knight - who is again a lean, tormented, driven avenger and not some guy who looks like one of Madonna's backup dancers.

BATMAN BEGINS was exactly what we needed. The savage and hallucinatory battle of Man v. Self and Bat v. Scarecrow changed the dynamic of the whole series and made us extra excited about Nolan's flight plan for the new DARK KNIGHT. On top of it all there's the late Heath Ledger's portrayal of the Joker as a grotesque grease-painted bastard with a serious grudge.

So yes, we're excited. Really, REALLY excited. We will have menu specials, drinks and an equally kickass preshow that you can enjoy whether you're a comic-book hoarding uberfan or just a casual moviegoer.

Sure, we love the movies that "professionals" make, what with their infinite budgets, indefinite production schedules and legions of interns and craft services people, but nothing beats the rare and frenetic fervor of the so-called amateurs.

This is why we love Filmmaking Frenzy. It offers up a chance for any Tom, Dick or Harriett with access to a video camera, an email address and the slightest shred of determination the opportunity to present their personal pygmy-opus to a supportive audience of like-minded folks. And usually big big prizes are waiting at the end, which helps to flame the fervor into a full-on fever. The kind of fever you can only feed with healthy doses of caffeine and blind optimism. Sometimes it falls flat, sure, but more often than not it's genuinely impressive stuff and always entertaining. And it's filled to the brim with ideas, performances and techniques you will not find floating in ANY studio jello-mold.

We are proud to announce the DFEST edition of BPM (Beats per minute), a 48 hour filmmaking competition. At 7:00 PM on July 11, teams will be given MP3s of two songs from artists performing at DFEST. This signals the beginning of the competition. Immediately, you and your team start scrambling: listening to the song, decoding the lyrics, making the shot list, borrowing and stealing guitars, wigs - whatever it takes to make the most entertaining video of them all. Teams have 48 hours to complete a music video and upload it to www.filmmakingfrenzy.com. The top 40 videos will be shown in the Red Bull Beats Per Minute tent inside Main Stage grounds at DFest throughout the weekend.

The winning video will be premiered at the Main Stage during DFEST weekend, plus four members of the winning team will be sent to Red Bull Soap Box on Oct. 25th in Denver (!) at Red Rocks!! The prize includes flight for four and hotel for four (Oct. 24 & 25). Team members will get full media access to Red Bull Soap Box AND rights to film the event!

By the way, I'm from Denver. It's great. Red Rocks is spectacular. If you've never been then dust off your over-sized novelty directors' megaphones and do a little research on gold prospecting and micro-brewing and get ready to have a good time.

Last Thursday I had the distinct privilege of co-hosting what was surely the finest 90 minutes of entertainment any human being can bear without exploding, the BRAD NEELY ANIMATION SHOWCASE. We have two more shows with the genius humorist, animator and musician. Today (Monday) and Thursday June 26. If you click here right now, you can still get tickets to either show. Even though he was never a UT student, Brad Neely snuck his Creased Comics panels into the Texas student paper for a year before they busted him. Now he has returned to the scene of the crime for a friendly interview about his animation work, comics and shows at the Alamo Ritz this week.

MONSTER ROCK lessons from the Daily Texan

Last week, the Daily Texan sent their columnist Andrew O'Connor down to the Ritz to check out the MONSTER ROCK Sing-Along. Caitlin was our host for that week's show, and she guided him through the world of teased hair and codpieces like an expert.

The best part about this article, though, and why you should really read it, is that it isn't just about the show and full of sentences describing the antics on stage or the videos on screen. No, Andrew went way further than that and actually spends his column inches teaching the kids how to rock out with their cocks out (and teasing the indie rock kids, which is always a good laugh).

Some highlights from the article:

Free show: Luke Savisky film actions!

It's probably bad business sense to promote events at other venues on a Friday night, but I happen to be a big fan of both Graham Reynolds' music and Luke Savisky's indescribable "Film Actions." I just caught wind that the Harry Ransom Center is pairing both gentlemen for a free outdoor event, live music by Graham Reynolds serving as the accompaniment for Luke Saviskys film projections.

The attached photo is from Luke Savisky's projections which were done as part of First Night a couple of years ago. The photo doesn't do it justice, but he was projecting a collage of images against the 12 story wall of the Radisson Hotel set to the music of Stars of the Lid.

Tim League saw this last weekend, and in his blog entry on the Alamo website, his main gist was, "This may very well be my favorite Pixar film of all time." And from Mr. League, that's totally saying a lot.

Last weekend I had the thrill of heading up to the Ft. Worth Stockyards for the first ever Red Bull X-Fighters to be held on American soil. If you aren't familiar with it, X-Fighters is a single elimination battle between the best freestyle motorcross jumpers in the world. They turned the stockyards into the most insane freestyle jump course in history and had the riders launch from the bullriding chutes. Watch the trailer for a taste of the action or you can check out photos from the event on our Flickr page. When I was growing up I thought that Evel Knievel was the most insane freak on the planet for what he did. These guys are only about 21 years old and make Evel (may he rest in peace) look like a shrinking violet. No joke, you must see this stuff to believe it, and see it you will on our giant movie screen this Sunday.

We're hosting an official Red Bull watch party of the TV broadcast premiere of X-Fighters at the Alamo Drafthouse South Lamar. The broadcast starts at Sunday, June 22 at 2:30 PM, admission is free.

The show is amazing, and I hope you guys can make it out. The Red Bull hospitality team will be on hand with goodies for the attendees.

Boy Howdy, WALL-E is simply amazing!

I went to the AICN/Fantastic Fest advance screening of WALL-E this week and was completely rocked out of my seat. I saw 10 minutes of footage at this year's Butt-numb-athon which left me and the entirety of that audience nearly speechless. My expectations were already very high when I took my seat. I get frightened when I allow myself to get worked up over a movie. If the movie is just "pretty good," I will still feel dark and empty inside because of my poor expectation management. Not so with WALL-E. This may very well be my favorite Pixar film of all time. The story is solid, the visuals are off-the-charts and the tone of the picture strikes that perfect balance between kid-friendly and smart-enough-for-adults. Just take a look at the website for "Buy-n-Large," the global-multinational corporation of WALL-E's future earth. Clearly the tone and level of humor in even conceiving such an elaborate tangential website should indicate that adult sensibilities were well managed during the crafting of this project.

So you've got the 38 year old perspective from me. On the other side of that coin, I give you the kids perspective. Madison and McKenna Rockwell attended the same WALL-E screening as I did. They were so on fire after the movie, within a half hour of arriving home, they had constructed their own homage to the film (see photo above). This doesn't happen out of boredom, this is an act of early fan frenzy and that speaks to the universal appeal of this film.

Young or old, nerd or not, everyone should come out and see this film when it opens (which is Thursday, June 26 at midnight, by the way).

My personal highlights for this two-month period are: a visit from Guillermo Del Toro to present a sneak preview of HELLBOY 2, Edgar Wright returning to the Alamo for a SPACED spectacular, Monte Hellman live in person with TWO LANE BLACKTOP (and his other masterwork, SILENT NIGHT DEADLY NIGHT 3), the Ultimate Dark Knight adventure, and free movies for kids all summer including GOOD BURGER (which I have never seen!). There's LOTS more, something for all tastes. I hope you enjoy what we have in store for you for the next two months, we'll be enjoying it right along side you.

DAWN OF THE DEAD mall screening is...canceled.

It is with great sadness that we report the following news:

Due to reasons entirely beyond our control, the Rolling Roadshow screening of the original DAWN OF THE DEAD at the Monroeville Mall in Pittsburgh will not be taking place. We sincerely apologize to everyone who was excited to attend, and assure you that no one was more excited about this show than we were.

We also look forward to joining you for countless exciting and uncanceled film events in the future.

BAGHEAD is almost here

Directors Mark and Jay Duplass (THE PUFFY CHAIR) return to Austin with a hilarious, tongue-in-cheek, genre-twisting comedy that explores the minutiae of relationship dynamics among a group of desperate actor friends and roasts a gamut of indie films in the process.

After attending the Los Angeles Underground Film Festival premiere of the lauded indie film WE ARE NAKED, Chad, Katherine, Matt, and Michelle are desperate to launch their flailing careers by writing their own script, casting themselves in juicy star roles. That night they impulsively drive up to Matt's uncle's cabin in Big Bear, but horny ulterior motives upstage the boozy brainstorming session of good ideas for their unborn hit film. The foursome do get something out of their mumbling weekend in the woods, and it's something that far exceeds their expectations.

There's an article in the NY Times about how BAGHEAD is premiering in Austin, which has ruffled the feathers of all those little, nervous, shallow people on the hot-shit coasts. Hey that's OK. I'm pretty sure BRATZ 2 will premiere in LA.

We're excited to work with AFS and the Duplass Brothers to bring you the BAGHEAD premiere on June 12 and we hope you'll swing by and see it at our South Lamar location starting June 13. See you there.

Only one week until THE FOOT FIST WAY, the comedy of the summer. Mark our words. We love Danny McBride, and so do Will Ferrell, Adam McKay, Jonah Hill and everyone who has seen his videos on FunnyOrDie.com. In fact, when Patton Oswalt and Janeane Garofalo were here for the RATATOUILLE promo screening last year they brought this film along for an advance showing just because they liked it so much.

They said it couldn't be done. So we did it!

As you well know, mankind's battle against zombies has been raging for generations. But the finest chronicle of the war between the dead and the living is undeniable George Romero's flawless 1978 epic: the original DAWN OF THE DEAD!

We at the Alamo are indeed proud soldiers in this conflict, and are heading out to the original shooting location of the Monroeville Mall in Pittsburgh, PA for a special JUNE 21 screening of the BEST ZOMBIE MOVIE THAT WILL EVER BE MADE!

MONSTERS HD presents a special screening of DAWN OF THE DEAD inside the infamous Monroeville Mall! For the first time ever, George A. Romero's 1978 horror masterpiece will play on a big screen in the famous Pittsburgh attraction where the movie was filmed! Beginning just one hour after the Mall closes on Saturday evening, June 21st, this special event tops an already stacked horror extravaganza planned for the upcoming HorrorHound Weekend event in Pennsylvania (located at the Pittsburgh ExpoMart in Monroeville, PA) the weekend of June 20-22nd, 2008!

The Alamo Drafthouse Rolling Roadshow will be projecting this screening inside the Mall as part of one of the largest collaborations the horror industry has ever witnessed; HorrorHound Weekend is a conjoined production of HorrorHound Magazine, Bloody-Disgusting.com (the web's #1 horror movie news site), and Re-Evolution Entertainment. On top of these top-tier horror entities, a number of other media and studio reps from the industry will be on-hand to celebrate three days of horror, including (but not limited to): Monsters HD, Anchor Bay, Rue Morgue Magazine, Dread Central, Night of the Living Podcast, Deadpit Radio, Amok Time Toys, Toe Tag Pictures, and Time and Space Toys.

During the weekend of June 20-22nd, 2008, these various horror heavy-hitters will be surrounded by one of the most impressive horror celebrity guest lists to hit the Mid-West, ranging from legendary horror director John Landis (AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON) and top tier stars such as Jason Mewes (CLERKS), Doug Bradley (HELLRAISER), and Bill Moseley (THE DEVIL'S REJECTS) to first-time convention guests: Ottaviano Dell'Acqua (the iconic worm-zombie from Lucio Fulci's ZOMBIE), Al Cliver (ZOMBIE), Darryl Ferruci (CREEPSHOW), and Griffin Dunne (AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON) - just to name a few! For three days, fans can meet their favorite celebrities and have the opportunity to obtain autographs and/or photo-ops! Special movie screenings and panels are planned to coincide with the many guests, including a special demonstration by Pittsburgh's own Tom Savini as well as a special panel from Toe Tag Pictures, and a screening of the upcoming documentary on AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON entitled BEWARE THE MOON (accompanied by the docu's director, Paul Davis, coming in all the way from London, England).

The DAWN OF THE DEAD screening will take place where the Monroeville Mall's old clock tower once stood, on a 50-foot screen, which will take over the Mall after closing time, Saturday June 21st. Over 500 fans will pack this special section of the Mall, right down the hall from Time and Space Toys' brick and mortar location, Toy Galaxy (who helped bring this event together), where refreshments will be available. Admission to this special screening is available at the HorrorHound Weekend event - located across the street, inside the Pittsburgh ExpoMart - for a modest $5, all proceeds of which will be donated to the Make-a-Wish Foundation! Toe Tag Pictures will be doing zombie make-up on guests all day leading up to the screening to help make this evening all the more memorable, as over ten DAWN alumni will be on-hand during the screening to ensure the night's authenticity.

On top of these amazing guests and events, a special Bloody-Disgusting.com Film Festival is planned over the course of Friday and Saturday, featuring first-chance screenings of new films (including horror legend Dario Argento's MOTHER OF TEARS), while a host of special fan-friendly shows and vendors will be on hand ranging from a 1930s-style Circus attraction and original film prop displays and photo-ops to horror-centric toy companies showcasing new prototypes of upcoming products and film studios teasing upcoming projects, not to mention the various new film promotional goodies (swag), posters, and contests being held all three days!!
