As many of you are already aware, the most awesomest thing that ever was, is or will be is happening next week in Austin. Director Guillermo del Toro is personally bringing his film HELLBOY II: THE GOLDEN ARMY to the Alamo Drafthouse South Lamar next Tuesday, July 8, for a free advance screening and Q&A after the film!
Our theater has already been inundated with calls and emails frantically requesting seats and information. Not that we didn't expect this madness when we booked the event, but it must be properly set up here at the onset that seating is unfortunately limited and not everyone will get in. Due to the incredibly high demand for these tickets, the only people who are even eligible to get in are the Fantastic Fest Badge Holders.
If you have not purchased a Fantastic Fest badge, please check out our website for more information about the event. Badges start at $40 for the 2008 Fest and I dare say, it's the most fun week of the entire year at the Alamo. Fantastic Fest features screenings of over 65 of the best new action, horror, science fiction and fantasy films of the year and is the largest event of its kind in the United States. We have reserved a section of seats for existing Fantastic Fest badge holders (this offer has already been sent), but have reserved a section of seats for new badge purchasers as well. There will be more events for Fantastic Fest badge holders only leading up to the festival, so if you are on the fence, now is a good time to commit.
If you are interested in getting in to this event, you must send an email to
Good luck and we hope to see you both on July 8, but also on September 18 for Fantastic Fest 2008.

If I bought 2 Fantastic Fest Badges, does that allow to try for 2 tickets to this?
"Each badge is good for one [1] ticket" quoted from the ain't it cool news post about the show. I would recommend sending a separate email for each badge to be on the safe side.
The first post I got said is was good for 2 tickets, so that has changed? I sent my email for me and a guest.
Hey, Eddie!
I sent an email to rsvp@ and let them know the situation with me and your 2nd pass. Havent heard back but i assume it's a-ok...
HELP...Must know NOW...can't wait...might DIE soon. PLEASE post list soon!
Hey Alamo, Get to it. We're all excited, but some of us have to cancel flights, meetings, life in general just for the chance of standing in line to see The Genius.
I believe they have taken an extended 4th.
